Michael Damm is Head of Sustainable Development, is in charge of driving the green transition of Aalborg Municipality. This means detecting synergies between departments and organizations in order to develop green and sustainable projects.
Michael established the Center for Transition and the Network for Sustainable Business Development. The first is aimed at pushing the green agenda through co-creational partnerships between the municipality and private citizens, housing associations, the university, schools, kindergartens and NGOs. The second is aimed at local companies and SMEs and the purpose is to assist the companies in creating Sustainable Business Models. The main focus of his work is currently on Circular Economy and efforts being made to create the circular region of North Denmark.
