Kirsten Dunlop is the CEO of EIT Climate-KIC in Amsterdam, a European knowledge and innovation community. Kirsten and her team have experience working on transitions in energy, blue-green/nature-based solutions, deep retrofit, materials production and consumption and circularity (e.g. in plastics), food system transformation, agriculture, forestry, and farming – also relevant for urban peripheries, social cohesion, and alternative construction solutions.
They are currently focusing on working with a small group of leading European cities to develop a shared portfolio of solutions to address air quality, circularity, heating, waste, water, alternative energy, and exponential digital solutions. Her passion is for enabling whole systems to change and finding ways for innovation to catalyze effective systemic change that is as much behavioural and social as it is technical.
