Jon Søland is the Head of legal and public procurement department at the municipality of Oslo. He’s convinced that cooperating with the market is one of the main sources for a public procurer for innovation and sustainability. Thorough market-dialogue they have made huge progress regarding emission free construction sites.
Now Jon is hoping to do the same with recycling and reuse of building materials, and they will soon get a 30-ton electric digger as a result of cooperation with the market. He wants to prove that the regulations of procurement are not an obstacle, but an important tool, and that sustainability is a great motivation to reach innovation.
