Helge Brattebø

Helge Brattebø is a professor of Industrial Ecology and work-package leader and coordinator of life cycle assessment (LCA) research at the ZEN research centre at NTNU/SINTEF (Norwegian University of Science and Technology).

Helge´s aim is to change the way cities and buildings are designed, by research on modelling the buildings-energy-emissions nexus relevant to urban development projects. He has been involved in the recent EU-IEE funded EPISCOPE project. He appreciates very much being part of research on different aspects of urban sustainability, and his passion and main competence is on what drives and makes possible improvements in the urban metabolism related to life cycle resource use and environmental impact efficiency.
