Amanda Ngabirano
Amanda Ngabirano is a Lecturer for Urban & Regional Planning at Makerere University in Uganda. She is a liberated woman, who doesn’t look at a car as a symbol of status, but slavery. In cities like Kampala, her passion and mission are to support and push for activities/projects ensuring a balanced provision of safe and smart mobility options.
Amanda is currently supporting Kampala’s city leadership in the form of advancing the Active mobility plans they have, whose construction works have commenced. Her main goal is to see cities reclaim public spaces, share road space equally and meaningfully.
